The first part of the trail is snowless. After  Margaret Creek  patchy snow.  At the main Base Camp at Della Falls , there must be 5m of snow+ Ice.  Della Falls and Love Lake are still frozen. Everything up high will take time, it will be a  few weeks yet till the falls start.   B C Parks said they will fix the damaged bridge with a new Cable Car crossing, maybe in August. When done it should be lots of fun for everyone.

The head of the lake is ice-free.

Very little snow on the first 7 km of the trail. After that the trail is unknown.

    Lots of snow up high.

If the weather stays mild, the flow from Della Falls will start soon.

We will post another report as soon as we have more information.

We left the Ark at 6:30 am. Started on the trail at 7:30 am.   We should have put bug stuff on right a way, next time.  We didn’t go across the bridge that is out, we crossed about 400 m above the bridge in 1/3m of water. Made Della camp at around 4pm. Day 2 up to Love lake, a steep hike but the best view of  every thing around. We went back down at 4:30 pm to our camp at Della  Falls. Day 3 Up and on the way out at 9:00 am. We had lunch down on the river at Margaret Creek another great spot to stop. Made it back in time for a swim before the water taxi picked us up at 5:00pm.  We will be back to go to Septimus and Rosseau and maybe Della Lake.

    The Four from Victoria.

We have had a very good time. B.C. parks could do a lot better to  maintain the trail.

We started hiking at 11.30 am. from the start of trail to Della. Arrived at the camping area at the base of the falls at 5.30 pm.

There are still many trees across the trail ,but it was easily passable. There is no snow on the trail. Crossing the creek were the bridge is out is relatively easy. The water is roughly 3 ft. at the deepest . The Falls had lots of water coming down.

The hike back took about 5 hours . To cross the creek one should have a rope to be safe. About 30m would be lots.
